FNE presents perception survey conducted by Deloitte | 14 / 03 / 2013

At the end of last year the FNE commissioned to Deloitte the performance of a study on the perception that expert antitrust lawyers have of the deterrent effect of the institutions of antitrust in general and the FNE’s activity in particular. FNE filed a complaint against three bus operators in Copiapó | 12 / 03 / 2013

On March 6th, 2013, the FNE submitted a complaint before the Competition Tribunal (TDLC) against “Casther” (E. Alonso Castillo Compañía Limitada), “Expreso Caldera” (Cristian Valdés Cabrera) and “Buses Caldera” (Empresa de Transporte Caldera Sociedad Anónima), which celebrated and executed, since 2010, an agreement aimed at fixing sale prices of bus tickets for various types of consumers in the Copiapó-Caldera and Caldera-Copiapó routes. Chile’s Competition Tribunal rules against collective boycott by advertising agencies | 30 / 01 / 2013

On January 29th, 2013, Chile’s Competition Tribunal (TDLC) fined the Chilean Advertising Agencies’ Trade Association (ACHAP) and others, pursuant to the complaint filed by the Fiscalía Nacional Económica (FNE).

In its ruling, the TDLC stated: “that the agencies infringed antitrust law through a collective boycott against the bidding processes initiated by Metro S.A. and Transbank S.A., which attempted to reduce the number of bidders, under the threat of refusing to deal or refusing to participate in the bidding process”.
